Given the history of this particular Mahogany tree and how Belize was its home, I started thinking about its centuries-long life. I thought about how it dominated the jungle with its magnificent size, how after it was cut, it was just lying on the jungle floor with snakes and jaguars climbing over it for 18 years. That got me thinking of aknowledging Belize in some humble way with this build. So I contacted Emma Sanchez at  Panthera.org to see if I could contribute something after this guitar is sold. Emma shared a video of one of the jaguars that had a great impact on their team, Ben [see link below]. She also shared a distinct pelt pattern from this jaguar, which I used as an image to hand cut black mother pearl to inlay in the heel cap of the guitar.
